PM Krivokapić pays an official visit to Japan, will attend the Olympic Games' Opening Ceremony

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić is paying an official visit to Japan, where he will attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

During his visit to Japan, the Prime Minister will meet with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga. The meeting between Prime Minister Krivokapić and Prime Minister Suga will be a significant step in establishing stronger political ties between Montenegro and Japan.

Special attention will be paid to the exchange of opinions with the aim of further strengthening bilateral ties, foreign trade cooperation, business of several world-renowned Japanese companies in Montenegro, development cooperation - through the agency JICA and programme POPOS, as well as the presentation of Montenegro at the World Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka from April to October 2025.

The meeting will also be a great opportunity to consider strengthening cooperation in tourism, science, education, culture, health, multilateral cooperation.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also attend the matches of the women's national handball and men's national water polo teams.
