PM Krivokapić - PMQs: Opening of a joint border crossing with Albania is of great importance for the Government

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said that the issue of opening a joint border crossing with Albania, Zatrijebačka Cijevna - Grabon, is of great importance for the Government, and that the Ministry of Interior has intensified activities in recent months to put the border crossing into operation.

"Unfortunately, during the construction of this border crossing, the former administration didn't timely undertake activities regarding the power supply of this border crossing, and that is the main reason why the said border crossing has not been opened so far," Prime Minister Krivokapić said to Ervin Ibrahimović from the MP Group of the Bosniak Party.

The Prime Minister said that the Draft Law on Budget allocates funds for the Integrated Border Management Programme, i.e. the electrification of this joint border crossing.

Furthermore, the Montenegrin Cabinet, at the session of 13 May 2021, at the proposal of the Ministry of Interior, adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of the Integrated Border Management Strategy for 2021 and the Action Plan for the implementation of the Schengen Action Plan for 2021, which envisage activities of importance for the establishment of this joint border crossing.
