The realization of the announced strategic cooperation between France and Montenegro holds great significance for the 44th Government.

Following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, who confirmed France's interest in signing a Comprehensive strategic document on cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić held discussions with ministers responsible for the planned four pillars of cooperation: Filip Ivanović, Dragan Krapović, Vladimir Martinović, Novica Vuković, Vojislav Šimun, and Filip Radulović, regarding the next steps in this regard.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that the Ministry of Defence has made progress in the preparation process for signing cooperation agreement with counterparts from France, and the implementation could happen very soon.

It is expected that during March, the health ministries of both countries will complete the initial steps.

The strategic agreement is planned to be based on two more pillars: infrastructure development and ecology, thus the respective ministries will commence preparations for establishing cooperation.

It was noted that the realization of such a document could contribute to the accelerated development of Montenegro, as well as its EU path.

Therefore, it was concluded that it is essential to react promptly and prepare for the agreement to be ready from the Montenegrin side as soon as possible.
