Prominent performers of Montenegrin traditional music to take part in anniversary celebration programme

The Coordination Body for the organisation of the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro’s independence is pleased to announce performances by prominent artists of Montenegrin traditional music as part of the programme marking this important national jubilee.

The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by Milica Vojinović, Nina Strugar, Edo Abdović, Igor Đurović, Zdravko Đuranović, Šukrija Žuti Serhatlić, Esad Merulić, Goran Jokanović, Tanja Šeter, Marijana Martinović and Novak Laketić - artists whose work preserves and promotes Montenegro’s rich musical heritage.

Through authentic performances and recognisable traditional melodies, the programme will bring audiences closer to the spirit of Montenegro’s cultural heritage and the values that have for generations formed an important part of the country’s national identity.

The Government of Montenegro invites all citizens to join the celebration and mark together twenty years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence.
