Public Competition for the visual identity of the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro’s independence relaunched

The Secretariat-General of the Government has announced a Public Competition for the design of a conceptual solution for the visual identity marking the jubilee – 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence, on 17 December 2025.

Within the prescribed deadline, seven applications were submitted.

By Decision No. 02-010/25-1993 of 25 December 2025, the Secretariat-General of the Government established a Commission for the evaluation and ranking of visual identity design solutions for marking the jubilee – 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence.

Following the conducted analysis, the Commission concluded that none of the submitted conceptual solutions fully, or to the required extent, met the criteria defined in the competition documentation. It was assessed that the submitted works demonstrated shortcomings in terms of conceptual development, insufficient symbolic articulation of a jubilee of special national importance, as well as limited applicability of the proposed solutions within a comprehensive visual identity system.

In this regard, the Secretariat-General of the Government is relaunching the Public Competition for the design of a conceptual solution for the visual identity marking the jubilee – 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence, with the deadline for submission of works set for 26 January 2026.
