The Balkan Cybersecurity Days conference took place from March 18 to March 20, 2025, in Podgorica. The event was organized by CIRT ME, the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Management (DCAF), and the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) with the support from the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C) and the Government of the United Kingdom.

The event brought together numerous cybersecurity experts from both the public and private sectors to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and strengthen regional cooperation. This year's conference focused on improving coordination among institutions and developing practical solutions to enhance the region's cyber resilience. Participants discussed contemporary challenges in cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on strategies for protecting critical infrastructure, which is increasingly targeted by advanced cyberattacks.

The program included an opening ceremony, a panel discussion on "Protection and Recognition of Invisible Critical Infrastructure," plenary sessions, and technical training on the second and third days.

This conference serves as a vital platform for networking and collaboration among experts, institutions, and companies aimed at strengthening cybersecurity in the Balkans. The conclusions and recommendations drawn from the conference will provide a foundation for the further development of strategies and initiatives that will enhance the protection of critical infrastructure in the region.

The "Balkan Cybersecurity Days" conference is organized with the support from the Government of the United Kingdom, as part of the project by the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Management (DCAF) - "Resilient and Responsive Cybersecurity in the Western Balkans".BCD 2025
