Representatives of the Cybersecurity Agency of Montenegro at an International Conference in Bucharest

The Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference 2026, an international conference focused on current challenges and advancing international cooperation, took place in Bucharest from 20 to 22 October 2026. Ahead of the conference’s official opening, representatives of the Cybersecurity Agency of Montenegro, Ana Minevski and Samir Orahovac, participated in the Bucharest Cyber Dialogue Meeting, where they exchanged experiences and discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation with representatives of Romanian institutions and other international partners.
During the meeting, the Agency presented an overview of Montenegro's cybersecurity landscape, its activities to strengthen national cyber resilience, and the challenges arising from the rapid development and adoption of artificial intelligence. The Agency focused closely on strengthening both institutional and technical capacities, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and enhancing our ability to respond confidently and effectively to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, officially opened the conference, which convened senior officials and representatives from leading international institutions. Through expert presentations and panel discussions, participants addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity, geopolitical challenges in cyberspace, critical infrastructure protection, the development of cybersecurity professionals, and the importance of international cooperation in preventing and responding to cyber threats.
Participation in such events provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen international partnerships, exchange best practices, and further enhance the Agency’s capacities. In the coming period, cooperation with Romania’s National Directorate for Cyber Security (DNSC), as well as with ENISA, CISA, and other partner institutions, is expected to intensify and strengthen Montenegro’s national cyber resilience.
