On September 24–25, 2025, CRDF Global organized a two-day training in Podgorica - “Advancing Incident Response and Institutional Resilience for Montenegro’s National Cybersecurity” - with support from the Cybersecurity Foundation and the U.S. Department of State.

Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive modules and simulations, gaining insights into the latest cybersecurity practices - from multilayer protection models and threat forecasting, through incident response processes, to the development of modern concepts such as Fusion SOC. Special emphasis was placed on hands-on exercises and the development of recommendations to enhance Montenegro’s institutional resilience against cyber threats.

The event was also attended by representatives of CIRT, who exchanged experiences with other participants and worked on developing recommendations to strengthen national cybersecurity capacities.

During the training, CRDF Global and CIRT representatives met to outline the next steps in their cooperation, including planning joint activities and developing future projects designed to enhance national capacities and strengthen Montenegro’s cyber resilience.
