Tender announced for Budva bypass construction, valued at €196.2 million

Monteput has announced a tender for the preparation of the main design and execution of works on the Coastal Expressway section Markovići – Lastva Grbaljska (Budva Bypass) – Phase I – construction works.
The estimated value of the works amounts to €196,267,768.60, excluding VAT. The planned completion period, including the preparation of the main design, is 48 months from the date the selected contractor is introduced to the site.
This section, which passes through parts of the municipalities of Kotor and Budva, is approximately eight kilometres long. It begins at the Lastva Grbaljska interchange (connection with the M1 main road) and ends at the Markovići interchange (connection with the M10 road). The project foresees the construction of four bridges with a total length of around 1,400 metres, as well as two twin-tube tunnels with a combined length of approximately 4,300 metres – meaning that over 70% of the route will be comprised of engineering structures.
The construction of the Budva Bypass is a project of strategic importance for Montenegro, as it will enable faster, safer and more efficient transport connections along the coast, while significantly contributing to the development of transport infrastructure and regional connectivity.
