The 52nd Cabinet session – 11 May 2023

‎The ‎‎Montenegrin Cabinet, at today's 52nd session, chaired by Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, adopted the Action Plan of the Minority Policy Strategy 2019/2023 for 2023‎‎. ‎

‎The Cabinet adopted ‎‎the Information on the need to support print media, in order to fully inform employees in public institutions, achieve media pluralism and promote professional and free journalism‎.

The Information on the extension of the trans-European transport network to Montenegro was adopted.‎ ‎

The Cabinet accepted the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Montenegro, Enerflex energy systems and Wethington energy innovation with regard to providing support towards the enhancement of energy infrastructure in Montenegro. The Parties intend to undertake in good faith discussions and actions intending to pursue two energy infrastructure projects as follows: the construction and installation of a fixed terminal for the importation of liquified natural gas into Montenegro and its further storage, regasification, and transportation; and the construction and installation of a greenfield gas-fueled thermopower plant in Montenegro, the gas supply of which comes through the aforementioned terminal.

The Cabinet accepted the Report on conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement between Montenegro and the European Union on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard‎‎ Agency and accepted the text ‎‎of the Agreement‎‎, including the provision establishing that the Agreement will be provisionally applied pending its entry into force. This Agreement governs all matters necessary for the deployment of border management teams from the European Border and Coast Guard standing corps to Montenegro where the team members may exercise executive powers.
