CIRT WARNING - Phishing campaigns targeting bank users
WARNING - Phishing campaigns targeting bank users

We warn the public about an ongoing phishing campaign targeting NLB Bank users, aimed at obtaining financial gain and stealing personal data. The campaign is being distributed via SMS messages in which attackers falsely present themselves as the bank.
The messages contain a phishing link that leads to a fake website visually very similar to the bank’s official website. The message content states that the user will not be able to use their account unless they update their personal data or activate a new application.
To protect yourself from scams, please follow these guidelines:
- Carefully check the sender’s address.
- If you receive a similar message, do not reply.
- Pay attention to the URL, as phishing websites often use variations of official domain names.
- Do not open links from suspicious messages.
- Take the time to carefully read the contents of messages, as phishing messages often contain grammatical errors.
Please note that a reputable institution will not request users to disclose confidential information or submit documents via SMS, email, or social networks.
If you suspect that your data has been misused, please report the incident by emailing kontakt@cirt.me or by completing the form on the CIRT website: https://www.gov.me/cirt/prijavi-incident
