Abazović meets with Weber: Montenegro is open to German investors

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with the Ambassador of Germany to Montenegro, Dr. Robert Weber.

Expressing special satisfaction with the meeting with Ambassador Weber, DPM Abazović pointed out that Montenegro and Germany have intensive cooperation in many fields, which is based on mutual trust and respect. DPM Abazović thanked Ambassador Weber and Germany for the support to Montenegro, both in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and in overcoming the health and economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović informed Ambassador Weber about the activities of the Deputy Prime Minister's Office in the previous period, emphasising activities related to the fight against organized crime and corruption, the rule of law, as well as the Government's readiness to advance in negotiating chapters 23 and 24.

DPM Abazović called on German investors to invest in Montenegro, stressing the importance of improving the economic situation between Montenegro and Germany in the post-covid period and the benefits of intensifying the promotion of the green economy concept, on which the future of the Western Balkans should be based.

The meeting was an opportunity for the officials to discuss the upcoming tourist season, during which DPM Abazović invited German tourists to spend their summer holidays in Montenegro.
