Armed Forces do not control implementation of measures

Published on: Mar 4, 2021 3:30 PM Author: Ministry of Defence

Regarding media allegations, we want to clarify that the Armed Forces of Montenegro are not here to control the implementation of measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, but to remind with its presence of the importance of respecting measures by sharing masks and disinfectants in order to preserve the health of our citizens.

In accordance with their third mission, which is to provide support to civilian institutions and the population in confronting various types of challenges, risks and threats of a non-military nature, members of the Montenegrin Armed Forces in the field, by participating in such actions, but also by performing decontamination of health and other facilities, show that they are with their citizens in all situations.

We remind you once again that since the beginning of the pandemic, the Armed Forces have been actively involved in the fight against the spread of coronavirus in Montenegro by decontaminating public areas, health and other public facilities, securing quarantine, providing assistance to the vulnerable population and providing medical transport.
