Europass Digital Credentials enable secure sharing and easy verification of authenticity

"Europass Digital Credentials are electronically verified documents that certify qualifications, diplomas, certificates and other educational achievements. Unlike traditional paper documents, digital credentials enable secure sharing and easy verification of authenticity, increasing trust in the validity of educational records.

The Europass Digital Credentials system has been developed at the European level to provide a more transparent way of presenting qualifications and to facilitate their recognition across different countries. Digital documents contain structured information about qualifications and learning outcomes, making them easier to understand and use in both educational and professional contexts.

Through the Erasmus+ project Career Guidance, Europass & Qualifications Development (CGEQD), Montenegro is working on introducing this system and integrating it into the national education and qualifications framework. The implementation of Europass Digital Credentials represents an important step towards the digital transformation of education, improved transparency of qualifications and greater mobility of citizens within the European education area.
