Ibrahimović meets with delegation of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Mutual commitment to strengthening political dialogue and cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović met today with the delegation of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by its Chairman Ali Al Shahrani, as part of their official visit to Montenegro.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the continued improvement of relations between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, based on mutual respect and trust. It was assessed that the visit represents an important step in further strengthening political dialogue and parliamentary cooperation, as a significant segment of overall bilateral relations.
Ibrahimović underlined the importance of enhancing communication at all levels, recalling the frequent exchange of high-level visits, and emphasized that Montenegro remains strongly committed to deepening cooperation in areas of common interest.
He particularly highlighted the need to further strengthen the normative and legal framework, which serves as the foundation for the intensification of bilateral cooperation, with a focus on economy, tourism, energy, and investment.
During the talks, attention was also drawn to the importance of establishing direct air connections between Riyadh and Podgorica, which would greatly contribute to increasing tourist exchange, facilitate business contacts, and further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
The discussions also focused on the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Riyadh, with the expectation that, on the basis of reciprocity, Saudi Arabia will open a resident embassy in Montenegro, marking an important step towards further development of bilateral relations and political dialogue.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current geopolitical developments, reaffirming their shared commitment to the values of peace, stability, and dialogue. They also discussed continued cooperation at the multilateral level and the importance of mutual support for candidacies within international organizations.
