Ibrahimović participates in the TRT World Forum in Istanbul

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović participated in the ninth edition of the TRT World Forum, organized by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), which is being held in Istanbul. The Forum, one of the most prominent global platforms for dialogue among policymakers, academics, journalists, politicians, and representatives of civil society, was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

This year’s theme, “Global Reset: From the Old Order to New Realities,” includes discussions on key global issues of the modern world – diplomacy, the global economy, international law, artificial intelligence, media, reconciliation in East Africa, cultural diplomacy in Central Asia, political developments in the United States, European security, and the issue of justice in Gaza.

The keynote speaker at one of the panels was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, who, in his opening address, spoke about Türkiye’s role in promoting dialogue and cooperation in times of global challenges.

During his stay in Istanbul, Ibrahimović met with one of Türkiye’s most successful businessmen and the President of Enka Holding, Mehmet Tara, whom he invited to visit Montenegro and meet with the line ministers of energy, public works, and diaspora. The aim of the invitation was to explore potential investment opportunities in Montenegro’s energy sector, infrastructure, construction, and other industries.

As part of his participation in the Forum, Ibrahimović also had the opportunity to exchange views with numerous high-level officials, representatives of international organizations, and members of the academic community on current geopolitical processes, the role of the Western Balkans in new global circumstances, and the further strengthening of Montenegro’s relations with the Republic of Türkiye and partner countries.
