Today in Podgorica, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Siarto, handed over a donation of 200,000 doses of Sinofarm vaccines to the Head of Diplomacy, Djordje Radulovic, and the Minister of Health, Jelena Borovinic Bojovic.

Minister Radulović assessed that with this gesture, his colleague Siarto once again showed that Hungary is an example of solidarity and friendship in challenging and unpredictable times.

For us, each dose of the vaccine is an impulse to make the immunization of the population be as successful as possible, in order to preserve the health of citizens, restore normal life and focus on economic recovery - said the Montenegrin Foreign Minister, adding that 200,000 doses symbolically represents 100,000 lives saved or one quarter of the total population of Montenegro.

Minister Siarto said that he was proud of the fact that Hungary donated 200,000 vaccines to Montenegro today, assessing that this is another joint step forward in the fight against the pandemic.

A stable situation in the Western Balkans and a successful coping with the pandemic is in Hungary's interest. Our goal is to help our partners and allies in order to achieve the best possible results in stopping the pandemic - said the head of Hungarian diplomacy.

In the context of multilateral cooperation, Minister Radulović congratulated Hungary on taking over the one-year chairmanship of the Visegrad Group and expressed readiness to intensify cooperation in this format as well.

He stressed that Montenegro greatly appreciates the common position of Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia on encouraging the participation of Western Balkan countries in the Conference on the Future of Europe.

I believe that today's visit and the valuable donation will give new impetus to the development of overall friendly relations between our countries and peoples. Montenegro is a friend and ally, with whom you are always welcome - said Minister Radulović.
