Ministers visit key infrastructure projects in Nikšić

Minister without Portfolio Milutin Butorović, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, and Minister of Public Works Majda Adžović paid a working visit to the Municipality of Nikšić today, where, together with local government officials, they toured ongoing projects and officially marked the launch of new investments that will significantly improve the quality of life for citizens under Trebjesa Hill.

The visit began with a tour of the Fire Station, where the ministers were briefed on the current operational capacities of the service and discussed the necessary investments in equipment and infrastructure. It was emphasized that completing the construction of a new, modern facility is a priority in order to ensure adequate working conditions for Nikšić’s firefighters and enable a swift response in crisis situations.

The central event of the visit was the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the recreational trail around Trebjesa. This project represents an important step in the development of sports infrastructure, as it will provide the citizens of Nikšić with a modern and fully equipped sports and recreational center. Its implementation will create high-quality conditions for sports and recreational activities for all generations, promote a healthy lifestyle, and further strengthen the city’s social and sports life. The center will serve as a gathering place, fostering community engagement and promoting sporting values, thereby providing Nikšić with a new facility of significance for the entire community.

The working visit concluded with a tour of the Home of the Revolution (Dom revolucije), where progress to date on the reconstruction and adaptation of this monumental building was presented.

Minister without Portfolio Milutin Butorović emphasized the importance of synergy between state and local authorities, noting that balanced regional development is key to economic stability.
