PM Krivokapić's Christmas message

Published on: Jan 6, 2022 6:30 PM Author: Office of the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić congratulated the clergy and the people of faith on Christmas, who celebrate this holiday according to the Julian calendar.

Holy days remind us that our thoughts, deeds and actions should not create distance between us, but should bring us closer. It requires forgiveness for all the wrong we have done, thought or said. It obliges us to do that during these days. It is Christmas as a holiday that speaks of the special relationship between man and God, because Jesus Christ was born, we must also show by our actions that we are worthy of that path to perfection. In order to achieve that, we need to embrace each other, to express the greatest joy, and that is the joy that Christmas brings to all of us. Nowhere else in the world is this day celebrated as in Montenegro, in accordance with tradition and the greatest Christian values. This is also testified by Abbot Stefan, as well as by the time after him, when we showed that we joyfully celebrate this greatest holiday in our homes, with our families. It is this joy and light, radiating from the cave of Bethlehem, that shines upon us to this day, and will always shine, until the end of the world.

I would like to say to all citizens that the most important thing for us is that peace, harmony, health and well-being are present in our homes on all days of our lives. To a healthy Montenegro! Peace from God, Christ is born!, the Prime Minister's congratulatory message reads.
