Representatives of The Cybersecurity Agency at the annual Conference of FIRST

Representatives of The Cybersecurity Agency participated in the 38th Annual Conference of FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams), held in Denver, Colorado, United States of America. 
As part of the conference, representatives of the Agency actively participated in the 21st Annual Technical Meeting for National CSIRT Teams, organised by Carnegie Mellon University – Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The meeting focused on addressing current challenges faced by national computer incident response teams, with particular emphasis on strengthening national incident response capabilities in the age of artificial intelligence, advancing proactive national cyber defence in line with the requirements of the NIS2 Directive, threat intelligence sharing, as well as analysing modern cyberattacks, including ransomware campaigns, infostealer malware, and activities of advanced persistent threat (APT) actors.
During the meeting with the organisers, the work of the newly established Cyber Security Agency was presented, with a particular focus on activities implemented since its establishment, as well as plans and priorities for the upcoming period.
Participation in the FIRST Conference represents an important contribution to the further development of the Agency’s professional capacities, strengthening international cooperation, and exchanging experiences with leading global cybersecurity experts, thereby further enhancing Montenegro’s capabilities to effectively respond to contemporary cyber threats.
