The seventeenth issue of the magazine Eurokaz

The Ministry of European Affairs has published the seventeenth issue of the magazine Eurokaz.
Through several sections, Eurokaz presents current developments from the negotiation process, the results of reforms that Montenegro is implementing in the accession process, and successful examples of the use of EU funds.
Contributors to Eurokaz include representatives of the Government of Montenegro and the EU, journalists from Montenegrin print and electronic media, as well as representatives of local self-governments, the business sector, and non-governmental organizations.
In this issue of Eurokaz, you can find an introductory article by Montenegro’s Chief Negotiator with the European Union, Predrag Zenović, as well as an interview with the Ambassador of Cyprus, Andreas Fotiu.
In this issue, we bring texts on the preparation of Montenegro’s EU Accession Treaty, on the establishment of the Paying Agency in agriculture, rural development and fisheries as an important step on the path to EU membership, as well as a story by the NGO “Society of Young Ecologists” Nikšić on EU standards in the field of environmental protection.
We also cover the awarding of the title of European Capital of Culture for 2023, the most important European title in the field of culture granted by the European Commission, which was awarded to the Municipality of Nikšić.
In the seventeenth issue of Eurokaz, we present EU projects implemented in Montenegro within cross-border and transnational cooperation programmes. In this section, we present cooperation between Plužine and Foča within the Montenegro–Bosnia and Herzegovina Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, as well as Cross-Border Actions in the Reproductive Health Sector (CARES and CARES 2). We also bring a successful IPA story about the project for the construction of two significant health facilities: an infectious diseases clinic and a dermatovenereology clinic; a story about Airports of Montenegro and the Port of Kotor in transnational projects of the Danube Region Programme that promote accessibility and inclusiveness in transport; as well as a text on the Policy Learning Platform as a special form of support offered by the Interreg Europe cooperation programme with the aim of exchanging knowledge and strengthening public policies.
The magazine is published every six months and is available on the websites and social media of the Ministry of European Affairs and eu.me.
