Forests are part of our life and our strongest ally in fight against climate changes. They are our legacy to future generations. They are the guardian and the stories of how we treated nature in our time.

As a society we need to learn to love forests, to preserve them and appreciate their importance to us. Countries with healthy forests and developed forestry are wealthy countries and perspective economies.

Forests cover over 60% of the territory of Montenegro and their overall health, vitality, quality, functions and forest products represent a notable symbol of the ecological country.

The mission of the Ministry is the achievement of stability and competitiveness of forestry and wood industry, as well as sustainable use of hunting grounds- maintaining stable game fund, protection in protected areas and reserves.
