Parliament of Montenegro adopts three key laws for the country’s European path

Today, the Parliament of Montenegro adopted three important legislative acts for Montenegro’s European path, prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro: Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment,  Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Standardization, and Draft Law on Procedures for Damages Arising from Competition Infringements.


We are working daily on full alignment with European Union standards and on completing the legislative framework in order to successfully close negotiating chapters 1, 8 and 28, said Nik Gjeloshaj, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development.


Through efficient work, the Ministry of Economic Development has already contributed to the closure of five negotiating chapters, and with these three, the total will reach eight chapters closed within the competence of the Ministry.


Through dedicated work, we are accelerating Montenegro’s European path, Gjeloshaj concluded.
