Western Balkans Fund Launches the First Call for Proposals under the Gender Equality Fund for the Western Balkans
The Western Balkans Fund (WBF) has launched the first Open Call for Project Proposals under the Gender Equality Fund for the Western Balkans.
The Call supports regional civil society cooperation, advocacy, and innovative initiatives advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment across the Western Balkans.
Eligible applicants include civil society organisations, educational institutions, cultural and sports associations, business and media associations established in the Western Balkans Six.
Projects must address one of six priority areas, including women’s economic empowerment, protection from violence, digital equality, environmental action, countering anti-gender backlash, and gender, peace and security.
Grants range from EUR 30,000 to 40,000.
The application deadline is 10 June 2026 at 12:59 CET.

This Call for Proposals under the Gender Equality Fund for the Western Balkans is jointly funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the European Union and the Western Balkans Fund.
